Bruises/Wounds

Bruises/Wounds

Today in classes we learned how to make our own latex appliances and how to make bruises.  First we pulled apart about half of a cotton ball to the desired wound shape that we liked.  Then we slowly added layers of latex to it while letting it dry between each layer.
While it was drying I applied Basic Corrective & Beauty Makeup to half of my face.

I also learned how to make my eyebrow disappear.  First, I used my comb to my eyebrows upwards so that they would lay flat.  Then, I applied glue to them so that they would stay in place.

This was my wound drying.

I applied layers of foundation over my eyebrow once the glue dried.

Then, I started to work on my bruise by adding a thin layer of yellow under my eye.

After that, I applied some dark purple under my eye and on the eyelid.  I made it sort of irregular so that it would seem more realistic.

Then, I added purple and red to the wound.  I used powder and a q tip to gently remove my wound from the plastic.  I applied spirit gum to the back of it, waited until it was tacky, and then pressed it to my face.

I had to paint the surrounding area and some of the latex with foundation to match my skin color.  Then, I used my textured sponge to add bits of red under my eye.  Lastly, I applied fake blood to the wound and made it roll down my face by tilting it.

This is the finished product! This look was definitely my favorite!
