Applying Basic Corrective

To understand what color fits my skin the best I tested it on my arm first.
The 2nd color down from the top fit the best so that became my foundation.
The 1st color became my highlight.
The 3rd color became my contour.

I labeled my sheet and provided a sample swatch of each color.

I drew dots where the highlight should go on my face.  I drew lines where the contour should go.  This definitely made it easier to apply on my face because I could reference it.

I then applied basic corrective to half of my face.  I learned that I've been putting on my green/yellow stick on wrong.  I never set it with powder before and it worked much better that way!

Applying Basic Corrective pt 2

Today we took what we had learned about basic corrective and applied it to our whole face.

This was my face before any makeup.

This was my face once I applied my foundation.

After that I applied my yellow stick to all of my dark under eye circles.  I added green stick to all of my red patches and blemishes.  It's cool how the different colors help to conceal different things.

I applied powder to my face to blend the green and yellow stick and also to set the makeup so it stays on better.  I have very oily skin at times so powder is always needed.

The next step I did was applying contour to my face.

Next, I applied highlight.

Then, I blended the highlight using an upward motion and the contour using a downward motion.

Applying Beauty & Glamour

After we applied basic corrective we learned about applying beauty  and then glamour makeup.

For the beauty makeup I added a light purple to my eyelids, blush to my cheeks, and then a pink tone to my lips.

To take this look into glamour, I added white right under my brow on the bone and added a darker purple above my lid.  I then applied eyeliner to my lid as well.

The last few steps were to add white in the inner corner of my eye and then to add more blush and a red lip.

The final step, of course, was adding a mole!
